bjoern
guitar

Bjoern. Like all guitar players in the world he is one of the most decided representatives of Rock'n'Roll in the band, together with Larsen of course. Luckily he does not follow the greatest guitar player lie ("I do not need a tuner!"), but it happens sometimes that he pushes us against the walls with his love for mighty metal sound ("my amp goes up to eleven!"). We're working on it.

The Trash- und Deathmetal of the Nineties is the biggest part of his musical background. METALLICA is one of his favourites of course, but also the old stuff of the German Hardrock-pioneers and music clowns today, the SCORPIONS. But you will find a lot of punk albums like PENNYWISE or sampler with thirty seconds songs in his collection, too. In addition some jazz, blues and classic american rock stuff.

Born in 1976 he discovered his extraordinary potential early in his childhood and dealt with nothing but music the whole day without ever needing any lessons. Whatever came to his ears, he played intuitively. Soon he began to develop his own melodies and patterns. That is how it is written in the biographies of every second musician, and probably it is untrue in every third - like in this case (but the date of birth is correct).

Björn did all the foolish things like all the other guys and played guitar using a tennis racket in the beginning, but he was one of those who replaced it with a real one later. His guitar teacher was Rainer Siggelkow (lecturer at the Musical Forum in Bargteheide), who usually tought acoustic guitar. Bjoern planned to switch to a rock teacher as early as possible, but then the relationship developed really well and lasted for five years. Stage appearances at school and an engagement as a rhythm guitar player with the metal band GALLOW followed right along.

When Bjoern is not making the walls crumble with high gain sound or partying, he is studying electrical engineering in Hamburg. Because being an artist and student at the same time does not create much wealth, Bjoern is incidently developing and programming highly special interfaces for highly special computers, for high salary of course.
