Mario
The Ex-Drummer of the Metal-Band ROHBAU was the founder of the band. With THE GOVERNMENT, which was our bandname in the beginning, he made his dream of becoming a singer come true. He drummed us up at his workplace, a digital TV service provider in Hamburg. Unforgettable his tireless commitment of trying to give the audience an understanding of the BAD RELIGION lyrics. You get an idea of his qualities as a bandleader when you take a look at the pictures from our first stage appearances, the concert at the youth club JUZ Rissen (Photos) for example. He left us in 2002 for personal reasons and beacuse he is finishing his studies in sociology. We will always be grateful to him for founding GENERATOR!

Gunnar
He never made a secret of Punkrock not being his favourite type of music. He is just too able at the drums to get along with that simple punkbeat. When Fiete employed him at the end of the year 2000 as a substitute "until we find another drummer", nobody thought that he would stay for a whole year. The reason why it was fun for such a long time: On the one hand Gunnar is just a really good drummer (with punch and a preference for the complicated ;-), on the other hand he is a friend, with whom we had unforgettable rehearsals and stage appearances. Additionally it was impossible even for him to ignore the charm of some BAD RELIGION songs. At least he still allocates his drumset to us for exercising and recordings, and when Michael is tied up with business, Gunnar steps into the breach.

Hilke
Now she is a lionized graphic designer, but in 2001 she still was a student and she spent her little spare time with us in our rehearsal bunker, where she lent us her beautiful voice. Every rehearsal became a party with her, and she convinced us not only with her ready wit, but with her ability of still having a clear mind after lots (!) of beer. She brought the female component into the band which is still present today when you take a look at our toilet paper with four layers in our inexpressible band room toilets. Unfortunately she had to set her priorities at the end of the same year, appeared more and more infrequently and in the end fully concentrated on her studies. What a pity, but she remains unforgotten - and we always have an Astra beer ready for her.
